All in Good Fun

I don’t like my poetry
I don’t like what I see
at the party
I don’t like it
when the doves are slaughtered
all in good fun
I don’t like thinking
“Well, so what
I will either be ok or not
its useless to brood-”
id rather think
of the fireplace as
a cozy thing
instead of an explosive

I wish I could turn my imagery
like a rabbit out of the hat
a scarf out of the sleeve
a prostitute into a pretty woman
a death note into a kiss on the cheek
a sad day into hand holding

I wish I could write something pretty.
