Set me free

I don’t want to separate from my body

i dont want to suffer any more indignities

at the hands of the EMTs or the mortician

I knew I could be mean, but I didn’t know

he could be. I don’t want to seperate from my body

i just dont know how else to set me free

I love this poem. I love it because, for some reason, it makes me think that it’s not a good thing if mothers dissociate from their bodies because they’re being forced to carry a child in their womb that they’ve decided not to carry.

    1. Wow-yeah. I checked out your blog-you are very intelligent and interesting, as this comment suggests ❤ thank you
