Confession

He hasn’t aged as much

As he’s gotten very thin

The sight of his bare calves

Beneath his shorts are frightening

With the kind of shame associated

With incontinence

He confides in me that he’s stopped drinking

And feels that it’s a sign he’s lost his zest for life

I said you’re not the only one whose stopped enjoying drinking

Care for a sprite?
